On May 21, over 130 players and spectators gathered on the pickleball courts at Charlotte Country Club in memory of Ward Winslett and William Grenier. The players competed in exciting and nail biting matches and the spectators kept the energy high. Everyone had the opportunity to hear the Grenier’s difficult story (click here to read) and why the mission of WARD’S Foundation means so much to their family. Attendees also heard from Dr. Elizabeth Scarlett, the Medical Director of the Ward Winslett Center for Complex and Rare Diseases. It was truly inspiring for everyone to see and hear first-hand what their donations are helping to build here in Charlotte! The event raised over $19,000 to continue supporting families facing the incredibly challenging rare disease journey!
